Harrell are pleased to announce that we’ve once again achieved accreditation as an Alcumus SafeContractor.  Their rigorous Health and Safety requirements help us understand just what is required to stay safe in a busy, potentially dangerous, industry such as ours.

Here at Harrell, our workforce is broken up into two departments: Grounds Maintenance, and Landscaping.  Although their work is very different, the two sections meet daily at our premises in Hertfordshire, and are familiar with each other’s current projects.  Each section faces similar issues when it comes to keeping clients and members of the public safe while Harrell go about their business.

Not only do high standards of Health and Safety measures protect our clients and members of the public, they protect our workers, too.  Operating machinery, working at height, and digging down into the ground all come with a degree of risk.  Our Health and Safety co-ordinators work closely with our staff and contractors to mitigate and eliminate these risks; Risk Assessments and Method Statements are tailored to each project, and we hold regular Health and Safety meetings to ensure our teams are up to date with the latest developments, both in their workplace and within UK Law.

A copy of our Health and Safety policy is available to view by request.  Each member of our staff is familiar with its contents, and it is reviewed and updated annually.

Our clients have the confidence that their Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping requirements will be fulfilled and their expectations exceeded.  Additionally, they have peace of mind knowing that the work will be done with the highest standard of Health and Safety measures in place.
